Presentation by the Toledo State Hospital Cemetery Reclamation
There will be a presentation by the Toledo State Hospital Cemetery Reclamation
Committee at Monroe County Community College’s Whitman Center at 7777 Lewis
Avenue in Temperance Wednesday, February 8th at 7pm. They will talk about the
more than 1,900 unmarked graves in the Toledo State Hospital Cemetery and the

The Toledo Mothers of Twins Club Meeting
The Toledo Mothers of Twins Club will meet on Thursday, February 9, 2012 in the Croxton Auditorium at the Toledo Hospital. TMOTC meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month September through June and is a support group for mothers, foster mothers and guardians of multiple births. Milan Community Education has their 2nd annual Art, Craft, Gift and Bake Sale on

Spaghetti Benefit for Roxanne Gardner
There will be a benefit spaghetti dinner for Roxanne Gardner who is fighting
stage three Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The dinner is on Saturday,
February 11th from 1-8pm at American Legion Post 193 at 11045 Harold Drive in
Luna Pier. It's $10.00 for adults and children 13 and under, $5.00. Check out

Valentine Dance to Benefit Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank
Tickets are going fast for the inaugural Valentine Dance to benefit the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank. The “Hearts of Fire – Feed the Desire” fundraiser and dance will take place on Saturday, February 11 at 7:00 pm at the Sylvan Lodge, 3535 N. Holland Sylvania Rd. in Toledo. Tickets are $30 and include fantastic food stations, delectable desserts and cash bar. Volunteer chair persons Dana Mollenkamp and Debbie Katich have planned an exciting evening featuring the KGB Band. Annual Mardi Gras Celebration

Toledo Navy Week
Toledo Navy Week, Aug. 20-27, is one of 15 selected cities where America’s Navy will “come home” in 2012, giving area residents an opportunity to meet Sailors and learn about the Navy’s capabilities and relevance to national security. Toledo Navy Week will commemorate the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 and The Star Spangled Banner with U.S. Navy ship visits, and special events recognizing America’s Navy for keeping the sea free for more than 200 years. The U.S. Navy conducts Navy Weeks across the country to show Americans the return they receive for their substantial investment in America’s Navy. During a Navy Week, the Navy conducts a variety of outreach events (approx. 75+) in a metropolitan area, sharing the Navy story with as many people as possible. The Navy plans to include the following elements in Toledo Navy Week 2012: Visiting U.S. Navy Ships, Navy Band musical performances, Admirals and other senior Navy leaders, who will engage with local corporate, civic, government and education leaders, Navy simulator and other interactive displays, Visits to area schools, Community service projects and events with local sports franchises, Visits with local veterans
