Entertainment for The Blade’s 35th annual Northwest Ohio Rib Off will feature classics to current hits, and rock to country tunes, and it all takes place this summer at the Lucas County Fairgrounds in Maumee, Ohio from August 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th!
Presented by Taylor Automotive Family and Buckeye Broadband, featured performers at this year’s Rib Off will be Morris Day, Michael McDonald, and, back by popular demand, Lee Brice.
On Friday, August 18, Michael McDonald takes the stage. McDonald’s keyboarding and songwriting ability made him an integral member of both Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers. His time with The Doobie Brothers produced some of the bands best-known songs such as “Taking It To The Streets,” “Little Darling (I Need You),” “It Keeps Runnin'” and “Minute By Minute” and “What a Fool Believes.” His 1982 debut album, “If That’s What It Takes,” went certified gold with the hit songs “I Keep Forgettin’ (Every Time You’re Near)” and “I Gotta Try” being the featured tracks.
As always, plenty of mouth-watering ribs will be on display from pit masters both locally and from afar. The event is part of the National Barbecue Cookers Association. All NBCA members are certified Food Safety Professionals.
Tickets for the Northwest Ohio Rib Off concerts will be available beginning April 13 at etix.com, the Stranahan Box Office, all Tireman locations, and the three Buckeye Broadband stores, in Toledo, Oregon and Perrysburg.
